Dear AmCham Members, Partners, and Friends,
Welcome to your AmCham Newsletter number 202!
After our pause last week because of the start of Carnival holiday period, we are pleased to be back with you to share updated news of interest for our English-speaking business focused international expat community. Thanks for joining us!
Some time ago, I announced that we would publish in our newsletter monthly focused interviews on the subject of AI, which has become such a singularly important topic for our business community. Our good friend, Vitalij Farafonov has again written an excellent AI trend and advice analysis which we are very pleased to publish and hope you will enjoy reading. Thank you Vitalij!
We are also pleased to publish the full video of the opening keynote speech by US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, at the just concluded Munich Security Conference. As dual national with both US and Luxembourg passports, I was pleased to hear the positive tone and strong commitment of friendship and support expressed by Secretary Rubio and pleased to pass this speech along to you. Please listen to his words and please share this with others in your network of contacts and friends.
We are working hard to bring you two very strong events in early March. The first will be our annual International Women’s Day event on 5 March kindly hosted by PwC. The second event is our annual Carnival Ball on the evening of 6 March at the Double Tree by Hilton Luxembourg in Dommeldange. As always, we will have live dance music by Marco Boesen and his team, great party food and drinks , a fun photo booth for you to enjoy with your friends, along with plentiful quality food and drinks, a prize for the best costume, purchasable art and unbelievable networking! I warmly invite all of you and your friends to join us for these two events. Please sign up quickly to enjoy good seats at these popular events !
Last but not least, we extend an invitation to all interested parties to join on 27 and 28 February 2026 at the University of Luxembourg (Belval Campus) for two days of information, awareness-raising and training on issues related to learning and the development of intercultural competences in Luxembourg under the name; Interculturality for Impact; Soft Skills in Practice
Looking forward to see you all very soon.
My respect and kindest regards,
Paul Schonenberg
