HSBC appoints its new Luxembourg Chief Compliance Officer

HSBC announces the appointment of Karim Niraoui as Chief Compliance Officer, Luxembourg.

Karim is a compliance specialist with over 20 years’ experience in multiple jurisdictions and domains including asset management, retail and wealth management, financial crime, regulatory affairs and conduct. Originally from Germany, Karim lived in several European countries. He graduated from a business school in Belgium and started his career in Luxembourg. In his previous role, Karim was heading the HSBC Middle East regional regulatory compliance function, based in Dubai.

Commenting on Karim’s appointment, Emanuele Vignoli, Country CEO said: “We are very pleased to welcome Karim as our new Chief Compliance Officer. Karim will provide strong support to our four business lines locally and help us pursue our ambitious growth plans in a safe and sustainable manner.”
