Expired U.S. Midterm Elections Debate

Dear AMCHAM Members and Friends,

AMCHAM Luxembourg partners with Paperjam Business Club Luxembourg and invites you to join a “U.S. Midterm Elections Debate” on 17 May at Arendt & Medernach starting at 19.00 (registration and networking cocktail as of 18.30).

A series of electoral contests will play out in different states on Tuesday November 6th 2018. Depending on how well Democrats do, the party could kill the Republican legislative agenda in Congress. But if Democrats do poorly, they could feel the consequences of their failure for the next presidential election in 2020.
What would the consequences of these elections be for Europe and Luxembourg? Behind the candidates and the parties, what are the positions and policies?
This debate will oppose representatives of Democrats Abroad Luxembourg and Republicans Abroad Luxembourg, respectively lead by Natalie Bachiri and James O’Neal.

This event will be a chance for US expats as well as global citizens, who are eager to make sense of the direction America is taking, to hear first-hand both sides of the issues that will determine the outcome of these upcoming midterms.

Free event for AMCHAM members. Please click here for sign up.
