Can you please present the Luxembourg Internet Days event in a few sentences?
Sure! The Luxembourg Internet Days is an event form Internet related sector for the sector. We, LU-CIX* (the Luxembourg Internet eXchange), organize this unique “must” event to help the IT, ICT ecosystem gather and strengthen on Internet related challenges. We use to welcome over 1.000 decision makers from Luxembourg and beyond.
We have been organizing it for 9 years in a row, with 2 successful digital editions in 2022 and 2021. It is historically held on November during 2 days at the Chamber of Commerce, this year it will occur on November 15 & 16.
Our event is the occasion to listen to conferences, business cases presentations and to participate to interactive workshops, all given by experts from all over the world. There is an Expo area with about 50 stands and many networking opportunities.
Each year we select one country to partnership with to strengthen cross border business.
In 2022, the selected country is the USA; and this is the reason why on top of collaborating with the US Embassy and the International Affairs Department at the LCC, we are delighted to partner with the AMCHAM.
Before going further, please let me inform you that the US Ambassador, H.E. Ambassador Tom Barrett, has immediately accepted to talk at our event, as well as the Luxembourg Prime minister, Xavier Bettel, and representatives from the European Commission.
As usual we will also host subevents such as 1) the LUNOG Conference for LUxembourg Network Opertors, where DNS will be treated in depth; 2) the Skill for Jobs Workshop with Luxembourgish students in second cycle willing to meet with their future sector.

What themes will be highlighted?
Once again, we are going to stick to the news and talk technics in a pragmatic way.
Network Security and Resilience as well as the Fight against Denial of Service (DOS) attacks of all kinds will be the themes of 2022, because the number of attacks has skyrocketed in recent months and the sector is asking for technical solutions and a vision.
We will give a particular interest to the protection of industries and critical activities with OT (Operational Technologies).
Indeed, with Industry 4.0 which integrates more and more Cloud, the risks have changed. The increasing complexity of architectures makes security and backup tasks very time-consuming and challenging, all the more so with the addition of the remote access securing challenge exacerbated since the pandemic has started.
