About Handicap International Luxembourg
Handicap International is an international solidarity association active in more than 60 countries, supporting people with disabilities and working to prevent impairments. Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997, the organization champions the fight against landmines, cluster munitions, and helps those affected by these weapons.
Since its establishment in 1982, it has expanded its mission to help people with disabilities in developing countries, with a particular focus on disability prevention and full social participation. We are particularly working on rehabilitation, inclusive education and economic inclusion.
Because every citizen can make a difference, Handicap International undertakes various initiatives in Luxembourg to raise awareness and mobilize public opinion, especially among the youth. Additionally, we are fortunate to have a program team that monitors our 16 programs in collaboration with the Luxembourgish Ministry of Foreign Affairs directly from our office in Luxembourg.
