Our First AMCHAM Carnival Masked Ball
Last Friday evening, 3 March 2023, AMCHAM was very pleased to host our first ever Masked Carnival Ball in the ballroom of the Double Tree Hilton Hotel in Dommeldange. We most sincerely thank our partners, our members and our guests for joining together with us to enjoy a wonderful Networking evening with great food and drinks… and lots of dancing!
Our special thanks to our Platinum Sponsor, LetterOne, ICF EU Luxembourg and our partner organizations of the Network, Romanian Chamber of Commerce, and the American Woman’s Club. Although this was a party without guest speakers, we were honored to be joined by several candidates for the upcoming Luxembourg elections enregister (procedure for registering to vote in legislative). We thank them for sincerely engaging with our guests to show their appreciation of the English speaking business community!
Our initiative was simply to make people happy and share together a good party. We were pleased however, to use the occasion to honor and celebrate Jane Mottet as she retires from her position as the founding editor of the AMCHAM Newsletter!
To put people in the right mood, we suggested our guests should come in fancy formal attire, all dressed in black or wearing costumes. As you will see in the photos, these three styles of dress were well received and everyone looked the part from tuxedoes and long dresses to our own Biker Santa. The evening started with a delicious special occasion cocktail, then proceeded to two buffet spreads featuring plentiful and delicious oriental and BBQ food, all flowed quickly by dance–til-your-feet- fall off music energetically provided by Marco Boesen and his two partners! Also throughout the evening the fun photo booth was available for group photos.
Based on the very positive reaction to this event, we will do this party again next year!
