On January 24, 2024, the Indian Business Chamber of Luxembourg (IBCL) orchestrated a successful networking event at DSM Avocats à la Cour. Attended by over 50 professionals, the event entitled “Taxation and Investment Policies of India and Luxembourg for cross-border financing” provided a platform for insightful presentations, networking opportunities, and shared discussions over a delightful glass of wine. DSM Avocats à la Cour and ArcelorMittal generously sponsored the event. AmCham Luxembourg, represented by Paul SCHONENBERG, was the supporting chamber. Chronicle.lu and Delano were media partners.
The event started with welcome address by Mario DI STEFANO Managing Partner, DSM Avocats à la Cour followed by an interesting context setting by Paul SCHONENBERG, President, AMCHAM. The speakers provided a very insightful yet crisp information and analysis. They were Alex PHAM (Tax Partner, DSM Avocats à la Cour; Rocio RIVAS from ArcelorMITTAL; Shahid KHAN from Kochhar & Co and Yogesh MITTAL from JBM Environment. Aditya SHARMA, EU – India Trade Policies Expert and IBCL President, presented an update on the EU-India Free Trade Agreement, highlighting the key challenges and the potential for Luxembourg. He also updated the audience about implementation of the Lux-India Social Security Agreement and the efforts of IBCL to make the administrative process simpler.
