My sincere thanks to all of the Sponsors, Corporate table holders, and guests who joined us for a really memorable Thanksgiving Gala at the Double Tree Hilton this past Friday evening. It was a really memorable sold out event! Terrific speeches by our Minister of Finance Pierre Gramegna and US Acting Ambassador Casey Mace focused all of our attention on how lucky we are, how much we have to gives thanks for and what we need to do going forward to make our part of the world even better for the tomorrows to come! Terrific musical entertainment by Marco Boesen and his team, great food, fabulous tombola prizes, an enthusiastic crowd ready to party and even the launch of a wonderful new Why Luxembourg magazine by the Luxembourg Times to remind us that Luxembourg is the very best place in Europe for international companies to establish themselves! To help Luxembourg return to prosperity, some months ago we in AMCHAMN launched a Member Benefits Club (MBC) program to promote quality retailers to our high quality International membership. The MBC plan is simple: we identify and promote high quality retailers to our high quality membership without any charge to these retailers in return for the said retailers giving a much appreciated discount to our MBC club membership who show the retailers their MBC identification card. Our goal has been to help the merchants get visibility and new customers without paying high advertising costs and our members to get lower prices in return!
This issue of our Newsletter is dedicated to these 160 retailers who have signed on with us as partners. Please pay attention to the explanation on how to get MBC cards for free or at very low cost if you are affiliated by membership with AMCHAM… and how you can get MBC cards for a very reasonable cost if you are not (yet!) affiliated with AMCHAM. We have identified and included special holiday shopping offers from some of our participating companies as well as the links to show all of our participating retail partners explaining what they offer and where to find them! We encourage you to check them out and make them retail destinations of choice all around Luxembourg, and even close across our borders in the Grand region in France and Belgium. Should you have favorite shops in Luxembourg or elsewhere that you think would be a candidate for this programme , please contact us and them and make the introduction for them to join us!.
