I had great pleasure spending the early part of last week in Brussels attending the annual gathering of the chairmen and CEOs of the AmChams in Europe. We had very rich discussions on a very full slate of subjects!
This week our interview is with Sasha Baillie who I have known for many years and consider a good friend. I first met Sasha when she was working for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and have followed her career with interest as she moved to the Ministry of Economy and from there to become the head of Luxinnovation. She is very well prepared to assume her newest role as she becomes the Marshal of the Court for the Royal family. She is an exceptional woman executive and leader. We wish her all success in her new role and have wanted to give her this opportunity to speak about her time as the Head of Luxinnovation while these memories are still fresh in her mind. Likewise, please enjoy the photo review from our last Friday evening AWD event with Elena Gromova of Fashion Business Lab and her associates at their pop-up store in town! This was a really great event featuring raincoats (including specially designed raincoats by Luxembourg artist Sumo!), other ladies’ sports attire and accessories, paintings, and more… all accompanied by a great presentation of designer teas, poems recited by Lisa Burke and individual presentations by inspired /motivated people following their dreams to find their success! It was a great event!!!
AWD stands for After-Work-Drinks and is a new concept for your AmCham.lu with the end purpose to share quality networking with great people in a good setting with some quality refreshments and light food. We are very happy with this first success, thank all who joined us and look forward to presenting more such events.
