Dear AmCham members, partners, and friends,
On Monday of this week, we hosted our second Business lunch at Cercle Munster of the year. We are happy to be (safely) moving beyond Covid and into an environment where we can (again!) meet and discuss together. This is a thrill for our members and us, even better still because we had the honor to host Mary Carey and allow her to give a talk about “publishing the book in your head.” Our audience was composed mainly of potential writers eager to listen to Mary’s how-to-do-it advice. It was a great lunch: super crowd, terrific guest speaker, excellent food, and service from Maximilian and his Cercle Munster team. Our next lunch event at Cercle Munster will be on 21 March, during which we will take the occasion to introduce our member guests to the New US Ambassador. We still have several seats open, so sign up to join us if you are interested!
At the beginning of the week, we joined PWC and LACCNYC for our 5th International Woman’s Day event brilliantly organized and facilitated by PWC with Mary Carey as the moderator and featuring via video connection our Luxembourg Ambassador to the United States, and three exceptionally great and engaged Luxembourg based panel members. It was a brilliant event with 160 physical attendees and another 60 connected by internet link. Thank you, Vinciane, Mary, Maria, Toni, and Janet!
If you have not looked lately, our colleague Jorge has continued his great work arranging for additional companies to join our member benefits club. Thanks, Jorge, for your excellent management of this program and negotiating discounts for our MBC members!
We are very close to finalizing and announcing our Summer BBQ plans. We have an outstanding event lined up and look forward to hosting you in the early Summer! Likewise, you will also see next week the current listing of future events on our schedule. We have started to prepare this because some of our members have asked for earlier notification of events for planning purposes, and we are very happy to comply!
