We are honored and very pleased to dedicate and feature in this issue of our Newsletter a video and article from Jackie Meeker, our US Embassy Luxembourg Consular Chief as a follow up to her excellent webinar of last week on the subject of the current visa rules for entry into the United States from Luxembourg. Thank you very much Mrs Meeker for this excellent event and for your comprehensive and very caring explanation of the details and rationale being followed by US authorities for approving visa entry requests. We likewise understand that this is all subject to change and appreciate your willingness to work with us going forward to ensure our constituency audience is properly informed. Thank you for the summary article you have given us to publish in this Newsletter.
AMCHAM is pleased to announce we are expecting delivery by the end of this week of the first 500 Member Benefits Club (MBC) Discount cards for distribution to our members and are preparing now our second list of card holders! As a reminder, we have launched this MBC program to help retailers promote themselves to our AMCHAM members by offering a minimum of 5% discounts to holders of AMCHAM MBC cards with a certain number of MBC cards given for free by AMCHAM to member company employees and additional cards available for purchase in the name of employees, their spouses and partners for the low cost of 10 Euro per card with each card having a two year operational life before replacement. We have launched this program to help retailers relaunch themselves post the covid restrictions and to help employees have more purchasing power as a benefit of their companies belong to AMCHAM. We encourage companies and their employees to use this program and invite everyone who knows of a retailer who would like to be join us as a partner provider, to introduce us to these retailers. Let’s work together to help employees and retailers and relaunch the economy!

Please join us for an excellent lunch time webinar event on 11 May presented by our Entrepreneur Committee and EY on the topic of: Drive Growth, Stay focused, and on the evening of 19 May join us for an explanation of the newest financial sector product, the Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC), which is proving to be very popular here in Luxembourg.
We are delighted to announce that we are relaunching our excellent and very well received New-Comer orientation initiatives by offering a free Saturday morning seminar explaining the things to watch out for when signing a rental lease agreement. This event is free of charge as a public service because of very kind and very much appreciated corporate sponsorship.
