It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through January – 2025 was fabulous and 2026 is shaping up to be more incredible! In two short weeks I can already feel the momentum. As we begin 2026, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the American Chamber of Commerce Luxembourg – especially my friend Paul Schonenberg – for the incredibly warm welcome. This group was my first entry point into Luxembourg’s business community and set the tone for my first two months. I have been awestruck by the level of warmth and kindness shown to me.
As I’ve said before, I am continually impressed by Luxembourg’s ability to reinvent itself. From farming, to steel, to banking, and now to advanced technologies, this is a country that understands how to evolve while staying grounded in its strengths. That same agility creates real opportunities for deeper transatlantic cooperation, especially as innovation and investment drive the next chapter of growth.
In 2026, my focus is clear. I want to make it easier for U.S. companies to do business in Luxembourg, while serving as a bridge for Luxembourg companies looking to expand into the United States. As the U.S. enters our 250th year, a remarkable milestone achieved through American ingenuity, innovation, and a can-do attitude, I see strong parallels with Luxembourg’s own journey of reinvention and resilience. I’m especially excited about what we can achieve together in the coming year!
