On Thursday 5 September, Paul Schonenberg, President of Amcham, and Clara Moraru, President of the Union des Indépendants/Independent Workers’ Union, had a productive meeting on where they explored opportunities for future collaboration.
A key initiative that both organizations wholeheartedly support is the proposal to make self-funded training tax-deductible. Clara Moraru emphasized, “I am a firm believer in the importance of lifelong professional development for one’s career, applicable to both independent workers and employees. Implementing this tax incentive could significantly revitalize the training industry in Luxembourg, which has faced substantial challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic and has yet to return to pre-crisis levels. I look forward to working together towards this goal!”
