Amcham Thanksgiving 2021

The event was really a last minute arrangement due to the health crisis in Luxembourg and around the world and the fact that Amcham had cancelled last year’s event due to this!
Paul Schonenberg, Chairman of Amcham, in his address, thanked the invited guest for the evening, notably, Luxembourg’s Minister of Finance, Pierre Gramegna, acting US Ambassador Casey Mace, the British and Czech Ambassadors, Fleur Thomas and Vladimir Bartl, the first Counsellor at Belgium’s Ministry of Foreign affairs, Emmanuelle de Foy and the Director General of the CSSF, Mr Claude Marx for their attendance.
Also on the agenda for the evening was the launch of a new magazine, “ Why Luxembourg” from the Luxembourg Times which was distributed to every guest before they left.
Pierre Gramegna emphasised the “key role” played by investment from many US companies in supporting the Luxembourg economy in his well-received speech!
The traditional Thanksgiving turkey was presented to the guests by the head chef at the DoubleTree by Hilton along with Pierre Gramegna, Fleur Thomas and Claude Marx.
A fantastic evening was had by all who attended!
