Dear AmCham Members, Partners and friends,
Welcome to issue 193 of your AmCham Newsletter!
On 13 November, US Ambassador Stacey Feinberg met with Grand Duke Guillaume to present her credentials and become accredited as the United States Ambassador to Luxembourg. We sincerely congratulate Ambassador Feinberg and are very pleased to publish her official photo with Grand Duke Guillaume. We are also honored to publish Ambassador Feinberg’s first interview in Luxembourg. Ambassador Feinberg will be a high-energy, articulate, hard-working, pro-business Ambassador with a strong focus on promoting the very successful and long-standing US/Luxembourg business and political partnership. The AmCham family warmly welcomes her and pledges our fullest support. Enjoy her interview!

As promised last week, we also feature in this Newsletter issue the executive summary and presentation slides which Laura Foulds, the Managing Director of Analie Tax, presented at the joint AmCham/BCEE personal tax advisory event of last week. As every year, Laura has prepared and presented a very thorough analysis of current personal tax policy with detailed advice on how individual taxpayers and their families can legally reduce their tax payment requirements by taking advantage of special considerations in the tax code. Please read this article and take the required actions before the end of November!
My compliments to Baker McKenzie for their excellent DORA event this past Monday! Please view the photo gallery in our event feature.
Over the weekend I went with Daniel on Saturday to visit Jacques Schneider at his new studio location in Berchem, where we will hold our Christmas Market event on 10 December. I appreciate Jacques for both his creativity and artistic skill as well as his engaging and warm personality. Please sign up to join us for the Christmas Market on 10 December event!
We are very appreciative to have the support from John Psaila and his team at Deloitte to put on our third annual Transatlantic Trade and Investment event on 2 December. Since the end of the Second World War, the United States through NATO has significantly contributed to the preservation of peace and freedom in Europe. At the same time, starting with the Marshall plan, the US has helped restore economic prosperity across Europe and jointly built a Transatlantic Trade and Investment partnership which is the most powerful and successful in the history of our planet and mutually beneficial on both sides of the Atlantic ocean. While for many years the strongest foreign investors into the European economy have been American investors, it is also very true that the strongest investors into the United States have been European companies. In Luxembourg, the United States is the fourth largest trading partner and the only foreign trading partner in Luxembourg’s top ten economic partners. Come and join us on 2 December at Deloitte in Cloche d’Or at 17:30 to hear all the details. Our Presenters will include John Psaila, Managing Partner Deloitte; Nicole Binter, Luxembourg Ambassador to the United States; Stacey Feinberg, US Ambassador to Luxembourg and Thibaut L’Ortye our Senior Director of Public Affairs at Amcham.EU in Brussels.
We have just published our Member Benefits Club Partner’s Christmas shopping catalogue. Copies will be given to everyone attending the Thanksgiving gala this Friday.
You can also view the digital version online.
